Hull City manager Shota Arveladze has revealed that the English Championship side are already planning for the new season. The Tigers are in the English Championship this season after they secured promotion by winning the League One title at the end of last season. As things stand, Hull City are not guaranteed another season in the Championship but that has not stopped them from planning for the new season.

A lot of players have a few months left on their respective contracts at Hull City and Arveladze revealed that contract extension will be up to those players and whether they want to stay at the club beyond this season. Experienced midfielder Tom Huddlestone is one of the Hull City players out of contract this summer. Apart from ex-Derby County and Tottenham Hotspur star Tom Huddlestone, the likes of Tom Eaves, George Honeyman, Mallik Wilks, Billie Chadwick, Richie Smallwood, Matt Ingram and Josh Emmanuel also have few months left to go on their respective Hull City contract.

All the abovementioned players have the option of another year in their respective contracts. Hull City officials will have to do decide if they want to activate that extra year for Tom Huddlestone, Mallik Wilks, George Honeyman, Richie Smallwood, Tom Eaves and Billy Chadwick. In the situation of both Josh Emmanuel and Matt Ingram, the players will have to make the decision on the extra year.

Hull City skipper Smallwood, crowd favourite Eaves and Honeyman have been important players since former Georgia national team star Arveladze took charge of the team earlier in the season. For Ingram, he has been in the Hull City goal for the past four games due to the injury to loanee Nathan Baxter. In the case of Chadwick, he suffered a serious knee injury last summer and the Tigers have not said much about the injury out of respect for him and his privacy.
