NOT FAIR

Tom Huddlestone has said that he was not treated fairly by the Tottenham manager Andre Villas Boas in the last season.

Huddlestone left Tottenham this summer and joined Hull City. The English midfielder is having a good time at his new club.

Talking to the reporters yesterday, Huddlestone said, “When you perform well, you know you have a good chance of retaining your place in the XI. But, that wasn’t the case at Tottenham. I got dropped after good performances there and that was really demoralizing.”

When asked about Tottenham parting ways with quite a few English players this summer, Huddlestone said, “Yeah, I am a bit surprised by this. However, it’s up to them to decide which players they want. I hope the guys whom they have invested their money in deliver the goods for them.”
“Their main target is to qualify for the Champions League and they are ready to do anything for that.”

When asked about life at Hull City, Huddlestone said, “It’s been quite good so far. The manager has shown confidence in me and I think I haven’t let him down.”
“We are going pretty well as a team as well. In the games that we have played so far, we have shown that we are determined to make a mark.”

Hull City’s next match is against Huddersfield Town on Tuesday. That’s a Capital One Cup (third round) match.
When Hull had faced Leyton Orient in the second round of Capital One Cup, their manager Steve Bruce had made more than 10 changes.

When asked if he thinks the manager will make a lot of changes against Huddersfield as well, Huddlestone said, “There is a lot of depth in our squad. The last time, Steve had made 11 changes and the outcome had gone in our favour. So, he has every right to go for it again.”
